He enjoyed spending time “people watching” wherever he would go. Ron was a member of Masonic Lodge #259 in Livingston, TN. His motto was “if it’s too cold for shorts and a tank top, it’s just too cold” so, Florida was the perfect place to spend his retirement. He absolutely loved Florida and spending time on the beach. After retiring as a factory worker for the automotive industry, Ron and his wife made Citrus County, FL their home in 2009 after relocating from Cookeville, TN. He was married to his loving wife Priscilla (Brown) Abner for 28 years. Ron was born to the late Acy and Demia (Turner) Abner in Sand Gap, KY on August 8. Ronald Abner of Inverness, FL passed away with his loving wife by his side at Citrus Memorial Hospital on Novemat the age of 80. Internment occurred after the service at Hills of Rest Cemetery, Floral City, FL. Services for Raja were held on Sunday, November 26, 3:00pm at the Chas. Raja’s many friends, patients, and colleagues mourn his passing and celebrate his life and their connection with this kind and gentle man. Raja was predeceased by his father Wadi Abdul-Karim, his mother Alice Shehadi Abdul Karim, his brother Nabil and sister Suha. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret, his sons Christopher and Kenneth, his brother Kamal Abdul-Karim (Leila) and loving nephews and nieces. His motto throughout his medical career was “Encourage/Enhance/ Develop Analytical/Critical Thinking”. He was acclaimed for his research on “The Effect of Oxytocin on Renal Function in Human Pregnancy” and “The Role of Estrogens in Fetal Development and Blood Flow Distribution”. Raja was well known and respected as an author, educator, and consultant both nationally and internationally. Twice he received the Award for Excellence in Teaching. He was appointed Director of numerous divisions including the 3rd Medical Student Clerkship. In 1963, he started his long career at SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, NY in the Dept. He received his Fellowship in Fertility and Endocrinology at UCLA. Raja attended the American University of Beirut receiving his M.D. Meeting in Lebanon and marrying there, settled in Syracuse, NY where they raised their two sons, Christopher and Kenneth. Raja and Margaret’s marriage of 61 years was one of love, devotion and respect. went to his Lord on Thanksgiving Day Novemwith his loving wife Margaret at his side. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory is in charge of private arrangements. Left to cherish his memory are his children Gerald Abbot, Jr., Mohnton, PA Lucetta Davis, Crystal River, FL and Melissa Miller, St. He enjoyed camping, fishing, diving and motorcycle riding. He served our country in the United States Navy during WWII. Abbott, age 85, Crystal River, died Novemat his residence. Inurnment will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, at 10:00 A.M. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie on and his sister Ruth Adley in 2002. He was a dedicated family man, who leaves behind survivors of his nephews, Ronald Adley, Dennis Porter, Tom Porter and Michael Adley nieces Sally Turner and Jackie Adley his sister-in-law Loraine Porter and special caregiver Pam Sewell. An avid golfer, Russell enjoyed his membership at the Inverness Golf and Country Club and also enjoyed dining at the clubhouse. He was employed by Union Carbide in East Chicago, IN as a supervisor for over 38 years. He served our country in the United States Army during WWII, achieving the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Russell was born on Main Hammond, IN to the late Adler and Alice (Sexton) Aageberg. RUSSELL EDWARD AAGEBERG, age 97, Inverness, died Saturday, Apunder the loving care of his family, Hospice of Citrus County and the wonderful caregivers at Arbor Trail Rehab and Nursing Center. The procession will leave the funeral home for the cemetery at 9:15 AM In lieu of flowers, donations requested to Citrus Co. There will be no calling hours at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be from the Florida National Cemetery on Thursday, April 19th at 10:00 AM with VFW Post 7122 officiating. He was preceded in death by his two brothers. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Stuhlinger Aaberg his son, Scott Aaberg and wife Cynthia of Troy, MI. Marvin loved his country and flew the American Flag from his condo residence each day. He was a member of the American Legion, D.A.V. He retired as a Safety Coordinator for the Lakeland School District in Peekskill and served our country in the U.S. Mr Aaberg was born on to the late Elmer and Inez (Gruener) Aaberg in Duluth, MN and came to Florida in 1990 from Peekskill, NY. Marvin Elmer Aaberg, 87, Inverness, died in Citrus Memorial Hospital. For the period Decemthrough March 31, 2024.
